Here are some examples of my playing, arranging and composition. I've arranged all of the audio here into Playing, Compositions and Arrangements. Obviously there is a lot of cross over, but I'll explain whats going on in each piece of audio.
You may notice that three different types of audio are provided. In order of quality they are: Flac, Ogg Vorbis and mp3. You may not have heard of Flac or Ogg Vorbis, but both are supperior to mp3.
Ogg Vorbis is similar technology to an mp3, its audio stored in what's called a 'lossy' compression format. Which means that although the file size is much smaller once you compress the file (from a .wav file say). You don't get something that sounds exactly like the origanal .wav file on playback. Ogg Vorbis does this whole 'lossy' compression thing in a slightly more sonically pleasing way than mp3.
So, if you haven't got a fast internet connection, I'd recommend the Ogg Vorbis files. There are plugins available for Winamp (a great little media player) so that you can play .ogg files. There are good directions on how to do that here.
Flac is a lossless compressions format. No information is lost in the compression proccess, and what you get out is what you've put in. That having been said, the file sizes are much larger that Ogg Vorbis or mp3. If you have a fast internet connection, I'd reccomened listening using this format, as it will give the best sound quality.
You'll need the Flac plugin for Winamp, if you'd like to listen using this format. It can be found here.
