Often when teaching improvisation I encourage my clients to try to be as ‘vocal’ as possible with their playing. Here’s an amazing example of what I’m talking about by master musician Derek Trucks:
Thanks for the link Keita!
Ok, here’s the song that we wrote with the people of Brisbane for radio station B105. It will be posted on iTunes tomorrow and all the proceeds of sales will go to the Royal Brisbane Childrens Hospital Appeal. Please purchase tomorrow. All guitars are Axe-FXed of course…
Well the new date for the workshop is Tuesday the 3rd of June. I’ll be demonstrating
the Line6 pod series of devices as well as Digidesign’s mbox range. I’m always
telling my students that these two devices are the best toys out there for improving
your playing and making your practice more effective. In the workshop I’ll be showing everyone how easy these devices are to use, and how they can make your practice sessions so much more fun.
I’ll follow up with details on how to book a bit later on in the week.
It looks like the 20th of May isn’t going to work out for Line6 / Digidesign workshop.
So we’ll be putting it back a few weeks. I’ll announce the new date in the next
couple of days.
The new IMA Website is nearly finished! We’ve put a lot of work in to make it a website that we can update regularly and get the whole IMA community more involved with.
I’ve written a new article for the Rave Magazine. This time I thought I’d write about choosing a music teacher and what to look for. The article can be found here.
Well, I’ve finally pulled the time together to update the site a little. Another Rave magazine article has been posted in the Articles page, my Bio has been updated (or written to be more accurate). On top of that, I’ve promised some equipment reviews. These will arrive as soon as I get some spare time up my sleeve. Getting the audio section of the website will be my next trick….hopefully within the next month.
Here’s a quick montage of the IMA concert. I’ll get some slightly larger (read: visible) photos up very soon.
Hello, this is my first blog entry. I finally got my website and blog up and running. The site is still incomplete, so please forgive any oddities that you find.
